"Big Al"
A real t-rex skeleton! They also had a fun frog exhibit.
Poisonous dart frogs!!The rest of our day was spent driving. We left Big Sky country for the even bigger sky country of Wyoming. Snow-covered mountain ranges were replaced by rocky plains and red-dirt hills. The land that stretched from the road to the horizon was sparsely dotted with cows, horses, deer, antelope, and an occasional house.
We reached our Hotwire-acquired hotel just before 7 pm and grabbed some food at the local Albertson's before settling in for the evening. Tomorrow, we will be in the Black Hills with our friends Val and Nathan! Aurelia is so excited, she keeps peeing in her diaper!!
Much warmer down here on the other end of the rockies! We've got some fires already, smoke jumpers and all! Yeee-haw!
ReplyDeleteThat's it. I'm moving to Montana or Wyoming. The food sounds AMAZING. You can never go wrong with Bison.
ReplyDeleteSo I was wondering... are you guys being paid to advertise for Hotwire.com? Because with all the promoting you've been doing for them, you should be.
The weather down here is cold, wet, and ugly in general. I found myself thinking about calling you up to go get some Pho when I realized you were several states away....

Love the picture of Aurelia with her head in the dinosaur mouth! The scenery looks amazing. Makes you wanna listen to John Denver's "Country Roads.....take me home....to a place....where I belong!"
